Which carbs???

Come on then I'm really stuck with the induction for the new Zetec....I was gonna stick with the bike carbs. Was looking at R1's but bloody $$$£££$$$, so then thought about Webers (not as good, but have the bling factor!) Then spotted this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUZUKI-GSXR1100-GSXR-1100-K-STREETFIGHTER-36mm-CARBS_W0QQitemZ160055244530QQihZ006QQcategoryZ10534QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem 36mm chokes!! My ZX7r carbs on the pinto are 38.5mm chokes?? So do I just stick with them??? Cheers Oli.

Why not put some throttle bodys on it?.There is a cheap megasquirt on ebay at the moment it is uncased and a v2.2 board but is easily capable of running the zetec fuelling , you could keep the megajolt to do the ignition. Throttle bodys shouldnt be any dearer than a set of decent bike carbs and if you use megasquirt and the tuning software it will be possible to get a good state of tune without using a rolling road, so may not work out much more expensive than carbs. You would just need a swirl pot and high pressure pump fitting and a return line from the engine bay.

I know....but faced with a long list of parts for exhausts, clutches, flywheels etc etc megasquirt was something I was gonna hold off on for a while yet.....Just not sure if its worth the extra cost of waiting now that bike carbs are so valuable! Oli.

ZZR1100 carbs 40mm inlet and cheap enough. Good enough for 160mph Kawasaki at 12,000rpm so excellent for zetec engine!
