Yamaha R1 throttle position sensor -plug-

Hi folks, I'm needing a Yamaha R1 (98/99 carb model) throttle position sensor /plug/ to finish plumbing the megajolt on my Pinto. The carbs came with the TPS, but no plug.

Anyone got a plug spare that they'd be willing to part with for a reasonable offer?

I'm also needing the wiring info for the 3 wires from the tps to the megajolt unit. The wires from the ecu are marked, but I'm not sure what leads are what on the TPS!

I guess you'll either have to cut one from a loom or try and get the parts from a Yamaha dealer. tell him that your plug is broken and you need to ft a new one. Yamaha spares are quite reasonably priced.

As for the wires, Yellow is the pot position, blue is supply voltage (5V?) and Black/blue is ground. Not too helpful huh?

I have one from an FZR1000 Thunder Ace,
if it's the same you can have it for a fiver.

I usually convert them to a rubber Amphenol connector from RS.

Hi Nick... I would guess that it's fairly likely to be the same - it's a pretty standard 3 pin type plug after all.

These people do all sorts of weird and wonderful Japanese bike plugs.
