escort mk2 4-speed speedo drive ratio?

Anyone know the ratio for the speedo drive in mk2 escort 4-spd box?

(I think it is 1:1).

there are different ratios dependant on tyre size and final drive ratio

if you could let me know why you need to know i can probibly help you more

I plan to put in an optical sensor driven by the speedo gear; pulses from it will be used to control a DC motor to spin a speedo.

so if your not trying to match it to a mechanical speedo i just need to dig a book out to find out for you maybe tomorrow tho

would it not be easier to use an optical type sender pointing at either the prop as in the didgidash or at a hub bolt as in rally car trip meeters
