What carbs do you think?
For vx/xe redtop
i'm thinking along the lines...that 'probably' weber/dellorto carbs are going to be well used or quite old whereas bike carbs are going to be a lot newer (also in design)and with less miles /abuse?
they tend to go for the same kind of money, so its 'horses for courses'.
just wondered what you lot thought,experienced ?

I'd go for the bike carbs (newer technology etc) but it depends. If you go for Webers * most tuning rolling roads will be used to them. You might get a few funny looks if you went for bike carbs....
Of course putting bike carbs on car engines is also very de rigeur at the moment....

* (Dellortos aren't made anymore so ? spares situation and less RRs are used to tuning them)

Bike carbs a lot less hassle then the rest and good fuel per mile

Most tuneing rolling roads round here only want to plug in a laptop or fit you a "chip" or crank up the boost!

So unless you know or are advised to the right people that still know how to tune webbers and keep the Jets etc in stock then they maybe hard to find.

Bike carbs, cheaper to buy, easy to set up. One choke per cylinder, japanese perfects!

Also lower tickover and better mpg No contest for me.
