Carb Mystery - Twin Choke Weber
The Doc - 21/1/07 at 07:33 PM

And the next question!

I'm a little baffled as my carb has two hose connectors where I would expect there to be only one. Both are situated above the fuel filter on the carb with arrows on the housing above.

What's going on here?

Thanks Again

Mike

From your description, I think your refering to the manifold cooling connections. Could you post a picture, I'm sure one of the guys will know. Sorry I could'nt help more.

If it's a DGV/DGAV and the hose connector in question is next to, and identical to the fuel feed, then it's the fuel return.
I've done what most people have done and capped it with a bolt and araldite

Carb still works

Then again it could be the coolant feed for the autochoke, might need a more detailed description or even a pic

Are they the supply and return connections for the fuel lines. Thats what they are on mine.

fuel inlet, one is a return which normally people just link with the pipe in making a loop.

Sounds like the fuel return then.
Would that have gone all the way back to the tank, originally?

Anyway thanks I can sort that now
