I have modded my oil pickup so it is suitable for my shortened (leaking ) sieve like sump....

However the big end bolts pass quite close to the oil pipe.

What is a general opinion on min clearance?

a few mm should be fine, if the bolts hit it then its game over as somthing else as let go.
