ford temp sneder nuts
02GF74 - 30/1/07 at 11:03 AM

I will attempt to buy nuts for the ford temp sender on crossflow - think the oil pressure sender end is the same. This will allow fitting of a round crimp (lower profile & more secure) on terminal instead of the push on type that I have at the mo.

The sender end is not metric, most likley some imperial thread.

anyone interested in a nut or two? (note the fastener place may not have that size - anyone know what size it is BTW, around 4-5 mm ?)

I thought that most Forder senders were npt thread so a bsp might fit with care iirc

no, this is the end that the wire goes on; about 10 mm long, 4-5 mm dia; the end that goes into the block is mpt as you say. on the left in this piccy.

Not sure but I think that the connection on those is a push on fitting, similar to a crimp type terminal, but round in section. Hope that's clear (ish). HTH Ray

ARGGHHH!H!H!H!H!HH!!!!!!!!!

stop telling me it is a push connector jobby

It is theaded, I have the nuts to prove it

I got 6, so 2 spare to whoever is interested, send me AE and I'll pop one in the post.

A nut + spring washer will be more securethan any push on connect surely?
