hello all,
im on the verge of starting my engine, but i have just come across a snag, there are a couple of pipes on my carbs that im unsure what they do.
i have an idea of what they do but if someone could confirm for me.
fuel inlet pipe?
dont know what this electrical connection is? im running pinto engine, do i need this?
the big black one i think is a breather, but i dont know what the one on the right of the picture is, is this the vacuum advance that connects to the
dizzy?
any help is welcome guys,
Alex
electrical connection in middle pic is for the TPS (throttle position sensor),
you don;t need it if your running a dizzy, only for megajolt etc
Ray
any clue on the others?
The top picture is of the fuel inlet.
The brass pipe on the end of the carbs goes all the way through to a smaller brass pipe on the other end. It doesn't connect to anything. I run
coolant through mine to stop carb icing. I think most people just leave theirs open. I only had problems with the engine leaning out when the
temperature was 0° and there was fog, cloud or other moisture in the air. The hot coolant sorted it out nicely.
