Does anyone have any pics of a rod type gearlinkage fitted to an indyblade or similar. I have seen some good ones somewhere but can't seem to find them amongst a sea of favorites.

Should be some in my archive for paddleshift on an Indy blade

Of course this does open up the whole rods vs cables debate!!!!
A well sorted rod gearlinkage is pretty good but if you have to have lots of rosejoints etc to get it round obstructions you might be better off with a double cable system.....

I have been supplied with the MK rod linkage so that's what I'll be using for now but the paddle type looks great.

We're building this as a college project so it will be developed when built again next year, kliktronic/ paddle etc.

on this subject, anybody got a good source for a nice cable setup donor?

I need a pair of cables that I can accurately adjust so i can get the two gearboxes in my new grasser shifting together and rod runs are too tricky.

hmmm, interesting, but not really an answer (not meant critically!!! )

I'm really after a good solid car cable system, only needs to be just over 1m long as the engines are right behind my head!!!!

It needs to have threaded ends, say m6, at at least one end.

I've seen them on some jappy cars but can't remember what!

The MR2 is certainly an idea

Those threads are getting me closer to an idea of how it all should fit, I'm sure that I've seen a pic somewhere showing the MK linkage really clearly.

I only recieved the parts from MK this morning and I had to keep my hungry for knowledge students on the boil.

They still got loads done though.

Must post some pics soon.
