fuel line connections

hi,

I have a solid fuel line running down the length of the transmission tunnel,
can I connect the fuel hose directly to this?

or does it need some type of fitting on the pipe?

You can go mad with aeroquip if you want but a little flare on the end of the pipe, a touch of fairy liquid, grunting and a couple of hose clips (tightening in opposite directions) should do you fine - Done this on mine with a 7.5 bar pump and never had a leak yet...

sounds like its ok- I have the hose pushed directly on, with a hose clip,
will add a secons to each joint

cheers

If you are using copper lines you can solder on an olive to each end to act like a flare which is what I did and it was very simple but worked brilliantly.

I've seen OEM setups that have the flexi-pipe pushed over an un-flared hard pipe end and then jubilee clipped on, so anything more substantial than this should be more than OK
