
Has anyone bought any bots for a Zetec from the States, I have been looking at them on E-bay.com and they are listed as 2.0 L Zetec?

I have bought the from the states.
What zetec engine do you have?
The silver tops have a 8mm rod bolt and the black tops have a 9mm rod bolt.
The americans only got the black top in 2ltr version.
If you want silver top rod bolts you have to order them for a 1600 zetec which was the only silver top version the sates got.
That's not gona fit I think, thought euro zetec's use 8mm bolts, and US zetec's 9mm

Thanks for that I think I will strip the engine down then order a set once im sure of the size. What about the rest of the bolts, main’s, flywheel etc.

I called Dunnel on the subject last week. They don't use ARP for their engines anymore, they now source their own which are reusable...About
£9.00 each I think.

I’m looking to build a relatively standard engine running on GXSR 600 throttle bodies, and have been advised that I should upgrade the main and bigend
bolts, after looking on e-bay .com saw these ones available from the states and don’t know if to go for these or buy from the UK. Any advice on bolt
selection or requirements would be welcomed.
1800 silver top zetec.
If you keep the revs below 7K then no need to change either, above 7K big end bolts need doing, never heard of issues with mains.
I think you will find you will also need to machine the caps to fit the ARP bolts as they are chamfered to the head but the caps are square.
