I need to change my clutch prior to getting my frame from Deman. I have ordered the clutch kit, and the engine is on a stand. Is this something a normal person can do or do I need to hire somebody?

Reportedly, the kit comes with an alignment tool. I have the donor's repair manual but it looks a bit vague.

I find usually changing a clutch is easy. Just unbolt old one and rebolt new one, using alignment tool to make sure plate is central so that gearbox shaft goes in easily. Only thing to watch is that the clutch plate is the right way round: usually the splines project more on one side than the other. The manual should show which face goes against the flywheel but take photo of old one as it comes off just as a check or use marker on old plate to show you which way round the new one goes. Be sure to torque up the bolts holding the clutch cover to the flywheel to the correct tension - the manual should give you figure.
