ok have a 2l zetec silver top and have 2 questions

changed to the 1.8 escort water pump but need to get the groved pully for it? which car would it come from?

secondly the alternator, which one to use ie. a sepecific car and can you buy a bracket for it or do you make it up as you go along?

U need a 1.8 escort/ fiesta pulley.

As for the alt, iv got a dihatsu charade one on mine as have many others because they are small and will miss the inlet manifold.

Toyota Starlet - Nippon Denso fits perfectly

I used an alternator of a DOHC Sierra. It is not as small as some of the others suggested but comes with the correct pulley and was fairly cheap.

You will need to make the bracket but it'd not hard. I think some of the kit suppliers sell one that's suitable.

Pulley cheapish from Ford, saves lookig thru breakers. You can get a mounting kit to fit standard alternator if you are feeling lazy like me from Spydercars, works well.

i used a westfield zetec alternator bracket. it comes with a bracket you bolt on to the engine, and a top adjuster bar and belt!

i used the original escort alternator, which might seem overkill, but it was free and still worked and had the right pulley!

the best thing about this kit is that once the alternator is fitted, its inline with the water pump, therefore it sits fairly low and means you guys using carbs or throttle bodies should have no problems.

you can buy it from the online store. £72 i think ( which is alot, but its nice and easy fitting )
