Dizzy re-fitting

Hi,
Just to clarify and show my lack of knowledge, would I be right in saying that you can shove the dizzy back in any old orientation as long as the crank and head are set TDC. And the you can turn the dizzy body round so that the notch in the top edge of the dizzy body lines up with the metal contact end of the rotor arm and then these two aligned bits then go to spark plug numero uno once the dizzy cap is re-fitted.
Cheers,
Pat...

Dunno what engine you're fitting, if it's a crossflow, set to TDC (No1 cylinder firing with both valves closed ) hold dizzy over hole with rotor arm pointing at No2 inlet port and lower in.
The rotor arm will move slightly clockwise when inserted - thats it.
Refit cap and connect plug leads, remembering firing order.

Well it worked for me and fired first time.
