Is there a rear wheel drive gearbox that fits to a vw/audi 1.8t engine

Straight on, dunno. Non-straight on, Ford T9/MT75 with a suitable bellhousing/adaptor plate.

Have a look at the Donkervoort (click here) this is an upmarket Dutch seven type (Makes a Cateringvan look cheap). It uses a VW/Audi 1.8t engine coupled to a 5 speed RWD drivetrain. I can't find any specifics of the gearbox on the site, but they are contact details and links to owners club. Might be worth a call, unless some of our Dutch builders could shed some light on it????

Donkervoort still uses the Ford T9 box with there bellhousing, the Donkervoort logo is casted in the bellhousing.
For the top version ( 225 BHP) they use a borg warner box , but don't now the type.
Sorry that this info is not very helpfull for you

Those jolly Estonian chaps at Racetech, who make the Estfield (link here) have used all sorts of VW / Audi four pot engines mated to 4 and 5 speed RWD 'boxes.

Check their site for details.

Thanks all for the positive responses. I contacted Donkervoort and they would not sell me one because I don't own a Donkervoort and also I'm waiting on a response from Racetech.

Can anyone help me obtain the bellhousing. Thanks

Devon
