Just got round to trying my nice shiny Dellortos onto the inlet manifold only to find that they fit on to the studs OK but the linkage does not meet up. They're too far apart.

Is the Weber IM different spacing from the Dellorto?

I think it's more likely your carbs came from something different. Can you take the balance linkage off and extend it so it reaches the other carb?

Yup different spacings for different applications-you can either buy a new extended 'lever' or remove yours and weld a small piece on-this is how i did mine.
