Is that a statement or a request?

All the cossie's use a pinto bottom-end.....I think they are 16 valve?

Do I detect a large wooden spoon paul_mcq?

Yes it will fit....but get some life insurance.

Yep 16v Pinto would be a cossy, warrior also did a 16v head for the Pinto but are you sure it's not the DOHC lump out of a late Sierra or Granada?

Completely different engine.

Cheers

Chris

dont forget that Holbay Engineering made a 16v head for the pinto for their race engine - the book "How to modify ford SOHC engines" by David Vizzard covers this head in detail

Also the DOHC from late sierras was a 8v twincam. Strange but true.

known as the I4 - very untuneable with it been a "square" engine (86mm stroke and 86mm bore) however, the rs2000 head fits no problem as the block is 99% the same bar some casting issues for ancillaries.

it's also the engine i'll be using as i have one in my donor driver - piccies at http://www.paulsimon8.freeserve.co.uk/rs2000

The I4 is the latest all alloy Duratec engine from the Mondeo
