exhaust packing: fiberglass vs wirewool
which will bring the noise down most?
just fiberglass, wirewool (stainless) then fiberglass or all wire wool?
how tight should i wrap it when i repack?
just trying all options before buying new silencers.
FREE THE ROADSTER ONE…!!

Hi
For best results it' stainless wire wrapped around the perf then the exhaust packing.
The quiet packing materials are the very fine strand materials. These will get pulled through the perf and out the exhaust very quickly. Hence
wrapping the perf with the stainless wire to slow the process down . Although for best results do not over pack with material and don't wrap the
perf to tightly. If you do it just becomes one dense mass and can become as loud as an unpacked silencer.
Cheers Matt
