Dynojet needle kits for CBR600FX carbs?

Everyone seems to be talking about tuning bike carbs just now, so I thought I'd join in!

I have a set of CBR600FX bike carbs fitted to my x-flow. The engine's running well, but the carbs could do with a final tweak.
The main jet's right - I get an AFR of 12.5 - 13.0 on WOT.
Over-run is right - AFR of 17.0 - 18.0
Tick-over is right - AFR of about 14-ish.
Plugs are just the right colour after a good run.

The only thing left is the mid-range value, which is currently around 13.0 AFR. The trouble is, when I'm driving around normally this is where I am most of the time...
The next step would be to lower the needles - but mine are fixed-length. I don't want to faff about trying to get alternative needles that may not be right anyway, so I was considering the dynojet kit.

Has anyone used these? Are they roughly the same shape as normal ones, but with length adjustment (several grooves at the top)?

Any info much appreciated...
David
