rocker cover paint

Do i need a high temp paint for my rocker cover? Im going to paint it white and then the raised parts on it will be painted blue (few lines and it says BMW)

Im going to buy some blue caliper paint for my brakes so ill have enough for that. But i wont have and HT white paint. Does it need to be a HT paint or will any paint do?

Thanks

Mikkel

I just thought surely radiator paint will be fine? Since you cant realli touch radiators for too long once fully heated... so i assume about the same temp as a rocker cover?

if its one of the metal ones, on my E30 i always wanted to paint it all blue, and then polish back the raised bits to bare ali (?) might be an idea?

if its one of the later plastic ones, i think normal plasticote white paint should be fine

Did mine with spray paint. Acrylic and the oil seems to be affecting it already. It was properly cleaned and etch primed as well. Good job I changed the colour of the car to green. Need to do rocker cover the same next winter.

If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.
