A tired sierra one will be just as effective as a new one really, these cars are so light that to lock both wheels does not take anywhere near the
effort required on a loaded sierra.
I had an old XJS v12 with a powerlock diff, this was a cltch driven thing, once you got the wheels spinning up it would bang in and try to jerk you
off the road. I then got a later XJS with a viscous diff, a huge improvement, you did not notice is coming in and grip was much improved.
Just my three pennies worth.
I have a shagged out 3.65 standard LSD in the back of my BEC, one wheel on the grass and the other on the road and it pulls away smoothly, inside
wheel spinning merrily. Boot it on a roundabout and the back slides, do not try hard enough and it will try to push the car in a straight line.
Regards Mark

madteg - I've aborted the group buy I was organising.
That said I know someone who's selling at a discount from RRP - U2U me if you want the details.
As for what they are like vs other LSD's I'll hopefully let you know in a few weeks when mines fitted (and the weather clears up!).
If you've got traction issues (as you've got a lot of power) or like a lot of track action then an LSD of some description is probably for
you...
I favoured the Quaife unit as it requires no adjustment and shouldn't be too aggressive.
Its a tricky one as I've read several posts where people rate them and other where people say you're better off with a plate diff, a vLSD
or even an open diff!
A lot of the RGB racers run them if that helps (ok yours isn't a BEC but still...)
