Slim oil takeoff plate

I have a volvo T5 engine and the oil filter hangs verticall in one corner of the sump.

This restricts the amount one can remove from the sump to increase ground clearance.

What I need is a slimline takeoffplate with side facing exits.

Its a stubby filter anyway, so its probably 2-2.5 inches in height and whatever I replace it with need to be less!

As a possible alternative, there are two ports out of theoil pump to the oil cooler. Could I put a filter inline with the cooler and then get some form of blanking plate to go where the filter was?

Cheers

have a look on think automotives site, most of their mocal range is available from burtons or ebay.

Burtons oil stuff

If you do put in an inline filter, make sure its in the line before the cooler, as you want to be filtering hot oil.

any take off plate would work , IIRC something about the filter being in the sump might prevent this .

also chopping the sump in these engines needs some other work to make it breathe aswell , theres not much space for windage .
