spigot bearing

How far should this be set into the end of the crankshaft?

Type 9

1600CVH (XR3i type)

All the way?

I tapped mine in as far as it would go on my Zetec. Seems fine so far.

I put mine in untill it was flush with the end of the crank. The little rubber grease seal wants to be on the out side.

You can tell when it's in fully, the sound (of the hammer on the drift) changes and there's no "give" you'll know when it's done
