5pw thermostat
Having discovered that i most likely have a 5pw (injected r1) thermostat on my 5JJ engine, my q is this:
Is there a threaded hole to accept the thermo unit on the thermostat?
(I would look but I am 300 miles away from my garage at the moment!)

in a word - nope.
The thermo-unit normally fits in the radiator so you will need an adaptor of the correct size to fit in your cooling system at an appropriate
place
Part number 15 on this site is what you are
looking for
