Transmission shift linkage U/J

My first post and an appeal for help! Can anyone suggest a source for a 19mm (3/4in ) U/J for my transmission shift linkage. Car Builder Solutions do one but it is 22mm and very expensive. I have got a cheapo from DIY store (intended for a rollout canopy) but I am reluctant to use it as it is too sloppy. Thanks

very expensive? what is your life worth?

One thing you don't do is skip on steering and brake components.

Don't even think about fitting canopy UJ to the steering.

^^^ oops, yep, you are right - it is for gear change so not safety critical.

if you can weld, then why not one of these.

A bit more brutal than the little CBS one, but functional and cheaper.

Thanks for the tip Matt, I have ordered one to try and at that price it won't break the bank if it doesn't work out.
