Cheapish Silencer Recomendations
I'm looking now to get my exhaust system finished off.
I'm looking to source the main can. It needs to be big enough for the job (2lt turbo) with a 2.5" input, no sharp edges, but at a
reasonable price.
I like this CBS one:linky but it's a bit pricey. I did see one
of these come up on ebay recently, but it was pulled before I got chance to bid
Anyone know where I might get something a little more locost?
I have seen these generic boxes like this: another
linky, but I think they are more a centre box and I'm not convinced they would be quiet enough? Anyone got anything like this fitted?
Thanks
Bill

motorcyle end can? nip to a local bike shop with your tape measure, find a bike with the right dia link pipe, then ebay is your friend.

I did think about bike cans, but I'm a little worried they won't be quite enough - particually with the new noise limits for IVA?

If you get a decent OEM silencer for a blade or similar you should be ok - the bikes have to pass similar noise tests, plus I bet you will have an
inline CAT too? Shouldn't that deaden things a bit too?

Yes, I guess the cat is going to help.
I'll have a look and see what there is.
Don't suppose anyone knows which, if any, bike cans have a 2.5" diameter input?
