oil catch tank

hi, all i am geeting a customed oil catch tank made, and was wondering, would it be a good idea to have the oil go back in to the sump, once it has collected in to the catch tank or once it is out leave it in there until i chuck it away?

Don't plum it into the sump
chuck it away
unless you are going to track it
