Xflow engines, are they worth anything ?

I have about 3 1600-1700 xflow engines
knocking about in my garage, all in various bits,
question
are they actually worth anything, or shall i just offload them to the metal scappy ?
seems a shame. with all the money that went into them

Get them into the back of Classic Ford or on Turbo Sport and Old skool ford , still very much looked for by lots of people [despite the zetez, duratec and pinto crews]

G and S escorts are advertising 711m engines @£350
so dont give them to the scrappy!!

If youwere closer we'sd be paying youa visit

I stuck my knackered (billowing blue smoke) 1.6 Xflow on ebay a couple of years ago. I was totally honest about it, but someone bid it up to £200 and drove a round trip from London to pick it up, what's more, he was chuffed with it !

I can't imagine them, dropping in value since then

1600 711 engines are worth money (as UncleFista says at the very least £200 for a knackered one) especially if they have a few rebores left in them - pre 711 1600s not so much and 1300s about £50.......

I've been looking for a 1600 711 needing a rebore/rebuild but I'm not paying £250ish for one

Yeh don't scrap them. I'd be interested myself if you were a bit(a lot)nearer. I'd be well chuffed if I could get a 1700 xflow for 100 quid, even though i've already got two smaller xflows and two zetecs to play with.
