Broke my gearbox

Ok not actually the gearbox just the remote selector linkage.

Got the gearstick remote linkage thats all there and got the selector shaft that comes out of the gearbox. The bit thats missing is the block that fits on the end of the shaft and has a hole through it for the remote linkage to connect to.

Bloody fed up cos Im struggling to source one. none of the breakers near me have any sierras and ford no longer make the bit I want. When I spoke to the bloke at "new ford spares" and told him what i needed he said "how did that come off" My reply was "I dont know all I know is I went for 5th gear and was left with a fistful of nothing. its somewhere on the A46 between the Hobby horse roundabout and the A607 sliproad" Its not too bad because the car isnt registered yet and the weather is crap but when I did drive it to and most of the way from the SVAit was great

Just wanted to vent my frustrations really

Try Ford for the cam, I remember getting one from a main agent off the shelf.

You can still get the saddle clamp from Ford dealers, I had no problems a few weeks ago.
The only problem was that the could not be bothered to look at the microfisch themselves, I did it myself and indicated the part. The cost was under £2.

According to the Frau main Stealers ford no longer make the bit I want.

Spoke to the spares guy on the phone monday, was not happy to say the least. And when they did make it it was £75

OK tried a different Ford dealer and the experience couldnt have been more different.

Got a really helpful bloke who although couldnt find the bit suggested I go doan and look at the exploded diagrams.

Found the bit I wanted on the gear change and steering diagram put the part no into his sytsem unfortunately thats where the good experience stops. £80 plus vat however he did print out the drawing and the finis code for me so wass not all bad.
