pinto 205 block

hi all can anyone tell me how much stronger the 205 block is compared to the std block?,im planing to turbo it,now would the std block stand high boost say 20psi,?????? would that be to much? thanks j

The 205 block is stronger, and was the basis for the cossie block. It was also fitted as std with better rods which will take higher rpm.

However if you are thinking of that much boost you will obviously be looking at forged rods and pistons anyway. By the time you get that far you might as well buy a cossie YB engine as thats what they were designed for anyway.

On stock internals you can run up to 8psi with an intercooler. Dyno confirmed 200bhp from a stock pinto at that level.
