R1 carbs + stainless silencer?
my car has just passed sva this week and is a 2001 R1` engine on carbs.i have removed the sva cat and silencer and put my stainless exhaust back
on.got home from work this evening and it wont start. its tryying to turn over but just wont fire. could this be due to the exhaust as it was fine
until i swapped it.the car obviously running very lean for sva so whats the easiest way to find a reasonable balance with the carbs? thanks.

It's VERY unlikely to be anything to do with the exhaust , it will run without one.
More likely flat battery and weak mixture, jump start it and squirt some "Start you b'stard" or petrol in the carbs
