new engine ordered

ordered new 2 litre zetec engine this mornng to replace the 1600 damaged crossflow not yet removed but just needs lifting out. Been looking through past threads but cannot find the one concerning shorting the zetec sump, if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be much appriceiated, also if any one on site has made this change over could highlight any other problems they came across I would be grateful.

I seem to recall the 2 litre needs the water pump or the alternator (can't remember which) fitment modding - someone who has fitted one will probably answer in a few mins.

If its a black top then the sump is a 2 piece one with a steel bottom, I shortened an alloy one for my silver top engine and then when i changed to a black top I cut down the steel lower sump pan, the hardest bit is shorteneing the pick up pipe. You will need to make up an idler pulley for the alternator belt.

If you need one I have a spare black top sump you can have . But I won't be around for a week after today. Will you get it done by Newark?
