high pitch skweek,from a bore

hi there,i was checking the valve clearances and i took the plugs out so its not as hard to turn over,and i noticed a high pitch skweek coming from cly 4 as im turning it over,
anyone had this should i worrie??

oh its a pinto


the only thing i can think it is is a ring thats broke

I have had this on a pinto before,
it turned out to be the ring squeeking
as the the piston came up the bore.
It was nowt to worry about.
Do a compression test to check if you are worried,
that will tell you if you have a problem.
I did this recently and found non existent
compression on no 2 cylinder, i had to rebuild it.

Sounds a bit like high pressure bleed, past rings, or simmilar. I pressume that it occured as you got to maximum resistance to turning over.

Beaten to it but nowt to worry about.
