Sierra Diff Stripdown & Rebuild

I need to change the seals and clean out the bearings on the Sierra diff ( 7" ) before I mount it. Anyone have a guide on it?

There is a sierra diff guide here amongst other things, don't know how good it is.

I remember seeing a thread on here asking the same question about 2 months ago - the concensus seemed to be - don't bother - the strip down requires the use of a number of 'special tools' and is very 'ahem' DIFFicult.

Do a search - there were quite a lot of replies.

This one is for the Scorpio but shows the special tools required.

changing the seals is easy if yur going to remove the bearings you may as well change the. If you go this route contact your nearest bearing and seal supplie and give them the numbers on the seals you will save a fortune if you go via the manafacturer. The saving on 2 cam seals local factor vs manafacturer saved £12.00
