zetec swap

hi have been offerd a mk3 fiesta xr2 1800 engine as blown my motor in mk3 escort up, wil the manifolds swap with a 1800 from a mk6 escort 1800 zetec? as i have the mk6 lump in atm and been offer a xr2 zetec

if both silvertops, should think so, as many do the oposite swap when installing a escort engine in a Mk3 fiesta

I'm doing the exact same conversion at the moment.

1800 from the Fiesta is the way to go. If it's an RS1800 one, it's more powerful too. Look for an 'SO' or 'HO' stamped on the back of the inlet manifold - HO is the 'high output' version.

Mk6 Escort has the plastic inlet manifold, which I suspect won't fit in the mk3 bay, but I'll find out pretty soon. You'd need to use the alloy one from the Fiesta or earlier Escort.
