Engineering company wanted.

Can anyone recommend a good company in the North Kent area, preferable in Medway or Maidstone, who can rebore a Pinto block?

I have stripped my donor engine down and need to get the block rebored as the engine has done about 400,000!!

Also if anyone has a nice big valve head with a fast road cam for a 2 litre pinto....

Alex.

Hi Alex

LCP in Gillingham used to do re-bores.

Thanks for the recommendations guys.

I spoke to LCP and they have a semi-retired gentleman who works a couple of days a week, doing rebores and possibly other old skool stuff. Their quote for a pinto rebore is just under £70, so not too bad.

They farm out any crank regrinds and that would be about £190!! Think I'll measure it carefully before just rebuilding the bottom end...

I also talked to Minister Power as they are between my home and work. But they farm out any rebores to LCP!

I'll let you know how good LCP are in a couple of years when the engine is rebuilt and in a car!
