carbon fibre exhaust cans

seeing the post below, reminds me to askthis question.

are carbon fibre cans made from some special heat resistant resin as surely they get pretty damn hot?

there not melt proof though...............



i melted 4 inches of the resin off so it went back to a fabric under a week before my sva restest!
