The "How to" list

A while ago someone mentioned collecting a "How to" list together for each section of the forum, and I thought it would be a good idea if you guys would like to help me.

I'll start with the engine and gearbox, I think if we get a list of:
What engine (and cars they're from)
What gearbox (and same)
Comments e.g. very powerful, easy to get hold of parts etc.

and I'll put it all together in one post for easy reference for us newbs

Cheers

What a good idea, might be too big for one post though. How about a downloadable word doc or excel spreadsheet than can be added to as required.

Great idea for us newbs.

My wife is very understanding, she understands that if I am in the garage I am not in the house annoying her.

Now that would be a good idea, some places have a good few stickies on them now.

I could have it as one big file too

How do I post documents?

I could prolly do a basic tutorial on how to apply vinyl decals? Pretty straight forward but if you've never seen it done before then I guess it could be a bit tricky trying to work out where to start...

*Bump*

Still need the information!

I can make a start, correct me if I'm wrong:
Pinto: 1.6 1.8 and 2.0
Found in: Sierra, mk3+4 Escort
Advantages: Well used so lots of knowledge on the forums
Disadvantages: Not easy to get hold of anymore, rather heavy
