shortened bike sump help....

I've got a zx12r engine..... i've also got a short baffled sump to go with it, its got a modified pick-up(the hard plastic bit). However do I need to sort out the other feed(long rubber hose) that would normally sit in the sump? Also with this hose I take it that it should sit right at the bottom of the sump?

Cheers.

i shortened the hose on mine so there was about a 5mm gap and cut a square out of it (the same as the origional end of the hose)

same here, cut it down but add the notch into it to let the oil in/out. i just took some wire snips to it and put a 'v' into it.

im too lazy to make a square! lol

Sorry about my spelling, im an engineer and only work in numbers.
