Hi guys, i dont have a car yet,but ive got a lot of bits!. Im interested to know if anyone has used a renault engine to a type 9 box in a kit car.
The engine im thinking of using is a f7p 16v, if not can you point me to someone who might help.

Renault cranks do not have a spigot bearing in them, It would be an engine stripdown to be able to get it machined.

engine was going to be stripped anyway for inspection

on this point - and my knowledge isnt very broad - the VX XE does not have a spigot bush either, so you simply measure the size of the hole in the
flywheel and fit a standard item from elsewhere, could this be a possibility?

Cheers Craig,yes i will check it out. If it all goes pear shaped ive still got the sierra bellhousing so i could go the zetec route.
It would be different with the Renault though,an its a useful unit.
On a plus note my zr6 carbs came thru the post today (almost new) so my bits are comin together

Hi Shaun, i see you work at renault....hmmm could be useful as im a member of the williams clio club, an theres no renault dealers in kidderminster or
stourbridge,weve been abandoned
