hmmmm, maybe a bit more than that.

when I lifed a zetec block and crank, my eyes were popping out my head but a crossflow block, crank, rods, pistons and lightened flywheel was not so bad..... still heavy mind.

This website reckons the difference is only 20lbs which is only 9kg.

It's hard for me to compare since there were two of us lifting the engine into the back of a transit, but I can remember being very surprised at how light it was. OTOH I had to lift my xflow off the bench where I rebuilt it and onto the floor since I couldn't get in with my engine lifter. That was really hard work, especially when my T-shirt caught on part of the engine! All I could do was keep lowering it until the T-shirt ripped; pretty stupid behaviour really as it could have really screwed my back.
