Fiat Punto engine help!
My mates punto just died and he cant afford anything (lol) so ive been taking a look for him, there is no spark at all, all the fuses are ok, ive been
reading thru the fiat forum and tried replacing the coils, crankshaft postition sensor and relay controller, im now stuck.
also there doesnt appear to be any petrol geting through.
any ideas guys

does the fuel pump prime when you put the ignition on?

no the pump doesnt prime, no sign of a fuel filter, and no the immobiliser light doesnt come on.

its a M reg 1 litre.
yes the light comes on for a couple of seconds then goes out.

Possibly fuel pump relay or the pump itself. You get access pump under the back seat I think, might be worth getting a multimeter on the pump to see
if a supply is present when ignition is switched. If yes, then dodgy pump is prime suspect, if not have a look at fuel pump relay.

Ive replaced the relay already, im more concerned about the lack of spark.
