well , its a 2.5 20v Normally Aspirated 5 cylinder , 170bhp , bog standardo .
Its a manual also and has a normal type clutch - easy upgrade is an 850 r clutch on the same flywheel .
this is a GLT engine which has the variable intake , and big ports in the head .
il be taking that off and using either bike bodies , or a plenum type without the variable part in it .
the gearbox is from 960 2.5 straight six whiteblock which shares the same family as the FWD s40/850/s70 engines
i believe its got a head gasket problem of some sort , but not sure . I want to build it with some High compression pistons and H beams , lots of
headwork with some rally cams - 280 bhp is my aim .
the Head will be built with XE valves and solid followers .
ive got a megasquirt being built for 5 cylinder usage .
Main reason im doing it , is the turbo redblock doesnt have the street cred , altho has massive power pottential - the car was becoming more and more
complicated with turbo piping and intercooler meant i had to run full bodywork , which i will probably still do .
and the other main reason is the sound !!! - its a bit boring listening to turbo whistle .
altho i do have a dilemma - the M90 doesnt really have a close enough ratio box - so tempted to use BW t5 box or even a type 9 with an adapter .

Id be very interested in the megasquirt mods. Ill be doing mine to run Audi COP units without the distributer.
I love these whitblocks, Ive shortened the sump on mine and deleted the oil filler to try and reduce the height so it will fit under the bonnet.
The M90 is horrible so I decided to use a BMW 325 box (Getrag 260) which should work well, but wasnt straighforward to fit.
Do you have a contact for Steel rods and bolts?

Your bmw box wasn't simple to fit....
How simple would it be for me to copy?
