need a set of 130bhp cam's and with carbs would think you would be in the region of 140bhp, what ignition system are you using?

I think 135 - 140 is realistic, megasquirt is popular Im running twin 40's with 130 cams no cat and gems, the way it pulls would suggest 135 ish, especially when I am following two other cars with known outputs ie 1 BEC with a zx12 @ 174 and a 2litre silvertop with 165bhp, althought they pull away they dont leave me by miles

My 105bhp 1.8 zetec with 2L cams and ZX9R carbs gave 155bhp on the rollers. Obviously the exhaust helped as well.

Hi there. Just for comparison... my friends factory built Westfield Carbon sport features a silvertop 1.8 Zetec running on Jenvey throttle bodies and MBE management.
It still has the standard cams in. Westfield claim 155bhp for this setup.
People in the know have questioned this figure and, lo and behold, it made 138bhp on the rollers.
So 140 seems to be a realistic figure without cam changes, providing you have a good induction set up.
Geoff.

as you are running carbs dont know how the standard mondeo ECU would cope with just doing ignition, ive run a 2litre zetec on individual throttle bodies, plenum and MAF with standard head/cams ford ECU @150bhp. if you are running carbs can get away with megajolt rather than megasquirt (but could be usefull for later upgrade) alternatively ive got a 2D zetec webcon ignition ECU if interested
