one piece propshaft??

hi guys
this winter i plan to get rid off my quaife reverse to save weight (race car)
is it possible to get/fit a one piece propshaft or do i have to go for a two pieces with centre bearing?
car is MNR with R1 engine

You can but its risky, the harmonics start up and it will shake itself to bits when that long, you can get around this using 3" tube but not ideal by any means, just not worth the risk.

Two short lengths do not suffer this so are a much safer bet which is why they are used.
