Omega V6+Locost=?
I have just aquired a locost chassis and i have a manual 2.5V6 as a donor car...
has this ever been done?
Will it work, the engine bay looks fairly tiny and the V6 is wide!
however i think it'd make a cracking car with a nice revvy 160bhp v6...
any info much appreciated...

I've seen a Vauxhall V6 in a Westfield before.
So, should work.

if you're going to do it maybe you should look for the MV6 as that has 200+bhp

PPC had a scimitar with the ecotec V6 - 210Bhp? Narrower angle V6 but apparently only police motors had the manual box.

should be easy enough to stick a manual box on it though i'd think?

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

easy power is change a set of cams from the 3 litre engines this is the only difference between the v6 and v6 gsi which make around 190bhp go on a
vectra gsi forum and you will get more info on it

There's one in Northern Ireland (I think)
See the picture links at the end of this thread

If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

It's already a manual, PPC are wrong, you couldnt get a manual 3.0 except in police spec, mines a 2.5 they could be had with a normall cog
swapper...

Heavy engine but I love the 3.0 in my tintop. 60 degree V so not quite as tight a squeeze as a 90 degree V8, say. Manual was an option for any
model/engine, even elite, so they're around but rare. Ex plod is the best source though. 3.0 used the stronger R28 box but probably not an
issue in a Seven. Ex plod 3.0 also most likely to have the LSD.
If it were me going to all the effort, I'd be inclined to go straight for the 3.0 as I'm sure I'd want to upgrade later if I
didn't! But then you do already have the 2.5...

yeah I'm going for the 'Low'cost side of locost building, to start with anyway...
The blocks are the same so should a 3.0 come up it's no biggy to swap..
