Pic Request! Securing MK fuel tanks?
Hi guys!
Just curious about methods of attaching fuel tanks your cars. I thought MK would of welded me some brackets on the sides, however no luck there.
Any pictures would be greatly appreciated !
Cheers

When I asked MK they told me they now just use sikaflex and nothing else. if you're not comfy doing that then a couple of ali straps with
rubber between them and tank

I welded nuts to the bottom of mine and bolted from beneath

With ali straps, riveted to the bottom chassis rail. Also had rubber / foam between straps and tank.
I've seen sikaflex used and it's strong, but was not so keen on this method!.jpg)

Very tidy looking straps. Did you make them yourself?

I used one of these kits:
strap kit
Works a treat for little outlay. Proper locost if you can get these from a scrappy, too!
Edit: IF you're lazy, see ebay item 360196791015 ;-)
