Dellorto 48's
Right, im thinking of getting rid of my dellorto 48's and replacing them with some R1 carbs from Bogg Bros.
Just a few questions.
1. What do you think they are worth (mounted on Pinto manifold with Pipercross filter)
2. Are R1 bike carbs the best suited for Pinto (Ford 2.1 Burton internals complete with high lift cam and big valve head)
3. Do you think i should do it?

3. No way!
Replace the carbs with efi and throttle bodies perhaps but not with bike carbs - no point at all

You are unlikely to get any more power through fitting the R1 carbs than you are getting with your 48's - you might even get less!
If you are lucky, you might get away with it being cost neutral when you sell the 48's - but I wouldn't bet on it
"That thing you're thinking - it wont be that."

Why? From what I've seen bike carbs work just as well as efi. and are a whole lot less complicated.
