Head cleaning + Stem seals
Hey,
I got my head stripped down today but want to see if anyone can recommend a product or method for cleaning it up to make it look like new??
Also, when replacing the stem seals which ones are for the inlet and which for zorst, the kit inlcudes 8 green and 8 red.
I assume green for inlet but need advice.
many thanks and happy crimbo

A wire brush in a dill / dremmel will clean the chambers. I would also say that green is inlet red exhaust
Life is like a bowl of fruit, funny how all the weird looking ones are left alone

Depends if it's ally or cast. Mine's ally, so I shouldn't have done this, but water, Mr Muscle & elbow-grease were the only
answer for mine. I was careful & removed it sharpish before it could think of etching the ally though.

Dunno, tbh. Mine were both the same. Might be worth measuring the diameter of an inlet & exhaust valve stem, but they may just be from different
manufacturers, unless they're part of a set?

Normal stem seal colours are green and grey for duratec.
Green for inlet, grey for exhaust.
I used a brass wire brush in a dremel to clean mine.
