Transit gearbox

Anyone thought of using a RWD transit gearbox? Smaller than a car one, what differences are there?

the gear stick comes out the top of box, not out the back, so you'd be changing gear somewhere in the scuttle!!!!

transit

sierra (this is a 4x4 box but 2wd is same place).

Transit box is a MT75 but with differnent ratios and different gear linkage. If you want the same just get a sierra MT75.

Transit boxes are a lot cheaper, and 5th gear and shaft, £28, from a mondeo fits, great for motorways.
